The first sign
Your baby wakes up from a nap looking irritable, with teary eyes and flushed cheeks: Is it a nightmare? Too hot? A little hungry? Or is it the start of an atopic dermatitis flare-up? It's normal to have questions when you notice redness and a bad mood.
At this age—when atopic dermatitis usually appears after two months —it's impossible to ask the baby how they feel, but some simple clues can help you make an initial assessment:
