Infant physical play classes are a fantastic way for children aged 6 months to 6 years to develop motor and social skills through crawling, rolling, sliding, jumping, and running—in other words, growing through play! For you, it's also the perfect opportunity to play with your baby and enjoy quality time together!

Babies are full of energy from the very beginning and just can't stop moving! They also crave to explore the world around them, test their bodies, and interact with other children. Led by a psychomotor therapist or a professionally trained instructor, infant physical education classes help children develop motor skills, coordination, balance, and body awareness—all crucial aspects of child development. It's also a great way to get children used to interacting with other children, especially those not attending daycare.

    Safe gaming environment

The playground is covered with brightly colored foam mats and equipped with balls, fabric tunnels, and low climbing frames, allowing children to play freely in a completely safe environment. They can release their energy without getting hurt. Whether you are a mom, dad, grandparent, or babysitter, you must be there to provide stimulation and a sense of security. Even if your child is a little older, we still recommend that you don't miss this great opportunity to play with them.

    Exciting and diverse activities

Infant physical education classes are typically for children aged 5 or 6 months (or those starting to walk) to 6 years old. Children are grouped by age, and classes usually last from 45 minutes to 1 hour to avoid tiring young children.

The activities will vary according to age and incorporate a lot of music. Instructors and children will spend a few minutes getting to know each other first. Then, the youngest children (around 18 months and under) will practice movement exercises on the mat (stepping, grabbing feet, clapping, etc.) in lying or sitting positions. Then they will practice walking, running, jumping, rolling, somersaulting, and ball games.

Older children may be asked to complete simple obstacle courses, perform continuous movements, play balance games, or climb small shelves to help them use and control their physical abilities.

Not all activities are physical. Children will also sing nursery rhymes, dance in circles, or play group games. Some classes even offer massages! Classes usually end with a quiet period where the instructor plays soft, relaxing music.

Helpful Tips: Planning to take your baby to a fitness class? To ensure you and your child have a great time, we suggest you:

Dress your child in loose, comfortable clothing (T-shirts with sweatpants or leggings) to allow them ample room to move. Remove their shoes to allow them direct contact with the ground and improve their balance.
    • Choose a time when your child is energetic and full of life. Avoid nap time or right after meals—they might need to be very active!
    • If your child doesn't want to participate, let them explore the space freely. Don't force them to participate; simply accompany and observe the other children, or simply go home and come back next week. Baby fitness classes should be fun!
    • Remember to bring drinks and snacks. You'll be thirsty and hungry after exercising!
    • Finally, give them some quiet time at home – they'll be exhausted after playing!
